Upgrade report (from 3.3 to 3.4e)

I ran the upgrade - not the complete rescue or sixth sense - started a little after 9 am - left the house a little before 3 pm and it was at 55%. Returned about 9:20 pm and it was at 70% - the operation was as follows:

100% (1/1) Removing from Disk: net-voip/wengophone-bin-2.0-r1

I waited about 40 minutes more, then gave up and did a hard reset, rebooted and started the upgrade again, the complete rescue. I skipped the bootloader part, which turned out to be a mistake.

The next morning it was complete, and I rebooted. I got a message something like 'Error 15 - file not found'. I started rescue part again with only the bootloader part, fixed that, then rebooted. The boot process got to about 25% and then the screen went black, like it does when it's going into power sleep mode - I hit the escape key and got the following messages:

Now what?

fresh install and in 40 minutes have yourself a useable computer instead of 3 days later and still not working.

Thanks, Wolfden, for your reply. Unfortunately, you're right - I had problems upgrading from 3.26 to 3.3 and ended up doing a fresh install.

Oh, well, this is my sandbox and I've learned a lot since 3.26 ...
