I have an older version on disk (3.26), how can I upgrade?

If you want the latest stable Sabayon release, you want 3.4e, not 3.4 Loop3 ( that was a development/testing release).

I really, really, really advise just finding a torrent for 3.4e and using it. Yes, it will probably take days to download, but it's simple and direct and no faffing around.

it sounds like u have problems downloading period as others can download it

it won't fit on a fat32 partition either
