need to reenable the sabayon login screen [Solved]

Hiho,

just did a world update and after some struggle it went well.
Only thing i can't manage is the Sabayon Login Screen with all its Options for Metisse and so on.
After boot i just see a login window 'unsecured Session' with leeds me to a xdm session.

so what do i have to start ? and maybee where ..

after emerging kdmthememanager i could change the theme right away
and you're right , my etc-update has been done in a great hurry

I had an issue like this once. My solution was to edit /etc/conf.d/xdm and there should be a line that says

Code: Select all

DISPLAYMANAGER="xdm"

Simply change xdm to kdm and it should be fine.

good advice, this brought up KDE Login right after start again, but I'm still missing the Original Sabayon Design. (ok this is not very important - lets say good to know how to fix this )
