Will emerge upgrade world make 3.4a.to 3.4e? [Solved]

Seems 3.4e ungraded some packages (for features I'm guessing) and downgraded other. I almost have 3.4a downloaded it would be a shame to have to start all over for 3.4e. Thanks for any help as a Debian user this Gentoo package management is all new to me.

well u can always xdelta and than patch your 3.4a iso or you can use world update if you know what you are doing and understand portage.

Thanks for the input, I have never heard of x delta before. Seems like it should work though...

If I run the 3.4 live DVD and update Installer will it install 3.4e

update installer only updates installer - you need the latest iso to update or do the world update if you know what you are doing.
