Okay, I decided after learnin lil about linux distros to install sabayon, my second linux install
I use vmware, and selected linux as guest operating system, then other linux 2.6.x kernel for version, then its setup in vmware. I go to launch it, all it does is say.

ISOLINUX 3.11 Debian-2006-03-16 Copyright (C) 1994-2005 H. Peter Anvin

thats it, doesn't say anything else, and just hangs there. ive tried to reboot it, still same result.
am I missing something here or what??

thanks

is the iso U downloaded any good?? meaning do the md5sums match? You may have tried to download the iso and the download may have failed. did you download via torrent or http/ftp ? It is a live disc BTW. You can boot it up on your computer without installing it, meaning you don't have to use vmware.

hmmm..
I did use http.
pretty sure it full. or else it wouldn't load at all, would be a disc read error
I mounted it to a virtual drive btw, just like I did with ubuntu<--worked that way

I couldn't load live or anythign else, the vmware bios load then goes to what I described
strange indeed

The disc would still read, but just incorrectly. If data was corrupted you may have a different MD5sum. If thats the case I suggest using a torrent. torrents don't get problems like that. Oh, and BTW July 22th or 23rd is when Sabayon 3.4 becomes available. Why not wait until that version comes out insead of using a loop or beta. Of course this is an approximate release date, but that is was was told to the fans by lxnay, so its probably set in stone unless some big problem occurs.
