Hi there and welcome home LOL.

Did you run the "update installer" on the desktop before running the "install to disk" installer ?

Might have to get the internet connection working before running "update installer" if it is not working already. ( as root in terminal "net-setup" and follow options if not yet working )

As for the modules not sure why it happens but a way around this is as root in terminal
"update-modules --force"

Hope this helps.

Well not sure but run it and then run the installer.

Also I am not 100% sure about the cause of the problem on your computer so it is try and try again type to get it working.

PS> try the instaler without updating first and see if it works or alternatively use the gui installer in the boot options of the dvd and try to use it maybe it will work.

It does look like anaconda = installer has a bug in it though it should not be as it worked 2 days ago for me.

I added a workaround for that issue. You can use SVN:

Boot the LiveDVD, open a terminal and type
Code: Select all
sudo svn up /opt/anaconda

Then run the Installer.

well, neither of these worked and I determined the best route was to format and start anew, which installed successfully. thanks Sabayon team!

I had the same trouble installing Sab 3.3 full. My HD had 3 free partitions, one with 20gb, the two others with 10gb. After 3 tentatives to install in the 10GB partitions (the 3 stopped at same point, "88%"), I installed Sabayon in the 20GB', and it runned OK, no troubles at all. Going to see what was wrong with the other places, ... they were entirely ocupied by Sabayon3.3 ! Really full, no space for a flea! And I can't undestand that yet!

Well... my strange experience recomends you to check the amount of bits of the partition you choose!
Sabayon 3.3 is Hunger of bits!
