Fail install sabayon xfce [Solved]

Hi,

I wanna install sabayon X, x86, Xfce on my job pc but something is wrong. I put the dvd, and after boot the disc, I choose the options;
1 - Start Sabayon X
2 - Graphical Installer
3 - Text installer
....etc...

Any options that I choice, the system does not initialize to install, and my screen goes to black, and need to restart on power button.

My machine is a Dell OptiPlex Series 380, Core 2 Duo, 3GB Ram, 250 GB HD, 3 video cards(Onboard,Ati Radeon 5570, and other offboard card with vga output)

I installed windows 7 ultimate first.

The onBoard VGA always has fail on the boot so we go descarted it.


I believe that problem is on the video cards but i don't know how to solve it.


I dont know how theses steps work.
1 - Setup Bios, Video, Select Onboard/PGE
2 - On installation inthe options(F5) I set all choices (nomodset,noacpi=off,no.....)

And Works.

I think the SL Installer has trouble with some hardware. Have you tried pressing F5 when you get to the menu of the LiveDVD and appending xdriver=ati to the end of the kernel boot line? If that does not work, try appending xdriver=radeon instead.

I do not understand. I boot the CD installation and when I set NOACPI option in F5 , the installation starts. Any other option does not start.

After the installation, I have an other error. My system does not shut down, and the message appears on the console is:
* Remounting remaining filesystems read-only
* Remounting / read only

So, I use the power button to turn off.


I do a research and following all these tutorials but not worked.

Estou com um problema danado. Apos botar o cd de instalacao Sabayon X xfce x86, eu nao consigo prosseguir com a instalacao enquanto nao setar a opcao NOACPI nas opcoes do F5. Eu nao sei se tem haver mas isso me gera um outro erro. Quando eu mando desligar o sistema ele nao desliga e fica travado no console e o teclado e o mouse param de funcionar, sendo necessario apertar o botao de desligar da maquina.

A mensagem que aparece é:

* Remounting / read only

Ja segui os tutoriais dos foruns que citei acima mas nao funcionou.

Eu tentei passar em ingles mas como sou fraco resolvi postar em portugues e pedir mais uma vez sua ajuda.

Well, it's difficult for me to help as I don't have your hardware, but I'll offer what advice I can.

The noacpi kernel boot parameter is a bit different to the acpi=off kernel boot parameter, so, instead of setting noacpi, try setting acpi=off instead. If you are using the LiveDVD you can press F5 and add the acpi=off to the end of the kernel boot line manually. If you already have SL installed to your HDD, you can edit /boot/grub/grub.cfg to replace the noacpi with acpi=off. Of course make a backup of grub.cfg first, just in case.

Also, the Gentoo Forums post you referenced mentions that the problem went away if he removed laptop-mode-tools. The kernel bug report no. 36132 you referenced said that the bug had been fixed for the e1000e network adapter, so, even though the bug report says the problem was fixed in kernel 3.3.1, you could try uninstalling laptop-mode-tools to see if that has any effect.

Also, I see from https://packages.sabayon.org/quicksearc ... mode-tools that the Entropy binary package has USE="acpi", so, if nothing else works, you could try installing laptop-mode-tools via Portage with USE="-acpi".
