I was having this problem, and watched this thread for the solution. I went and downloaded the daily from July 29th, and tried that (download and burn are both good), but I'm still getting the same problem.

sda5, sda6, and sda7 are three different linux distros. Sabayon is on sda7. When booting fails, I'm asked to provide a different value, and trying "/dev/sda7" also fails.
What's next? Also, I don't know if it's related, but I now have to skip mounting sda7 when I boot into my main distro. I did not have to do that before my installation of Sabayon on that partition.
