Dear all,
I am using Sabayon since version 5.2. It is one of the best distros
I have ever installed. So I decide to install it also on my older machine
where my Debian HDD died.
My old nvidia FX 5700 LE graphic adapter was not supported by the installer.
I used the text installer instead. There is no possibility to partition the
harddisc and no option to use an existing partitioning. That could be better.
Anyhow, I think I can live with the standard partitioning on this machine.
Apart from this the installation works good and Sabayon (XFCE version)was
completely installed. I performed all steps as mentioned in the wiki after
the first installation, unmask the nvidia legacy driver and installed it.
Hereafter I start lxdm as root and I can login without any problem.
Everything works fine. There is only one problem. After reboot Sabayon starts
in the console mode instead of graphical screen. I have to start lxdm manually.
Which file is to amend and what is to set to start lxdm automatically after booting?
Any idea?
Many thanks in advance
and kind regards
Squirrel
