Sabayon 8x86 Gnome USB Install Crash

Postby tobyw01 » Tue Feb 14, 2012 20:13

I'm trying to install Sabayon 8 on my Lenovo s10e netbook. I'm using a USB drive made with UnetBootin. The md5sum check is correct. When I run the live distro it runs for about 2 or 3 minutes then freezes. It freezes before I start the installer and never recovers. I tried all versions of Gnome on the usb drive and they all freeze. I also tried the text install and it freezes around the same time during the text install before I get to the disk search. I have 4 partitions on the drive already. One is Windows XP, two recovery partions for XP, and one of them is Linux Mint 12 (ext4), which I wan't to install over, but the live disk doesn't stay up long enough for me to delete the partition.

Any ideas?
