Sabayon 7 LiveUSB Monitor "Out of Range" [Solved]

Postby guriinii » Sat Nov 12, 2011 20:13

Hi All!

I'm trying to run the Sabayon_Linux_7_amd64_Awesome.iso with UNetbootin. Everything loads then my monitor says "OUT OF RANGE". So I changed the VGA kernel boot line option to suit my monitor:
Code: Select all
VGA=773

It didn't work. I then used the advice on this similar thread, which also didn't work.

Here are my PC specs: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dimc521/en/SM_EN/specs.htm

Can any one help?
Cheers.

Hi, welcome to the Sabayon Forums :)
Did you try to boot with this parameter:
Code: Select all
xdriver=vesa

or:
Code: Select all
xdriver=nv

Thank you! The vesa line worked.

Be careful to setup the appropriate drivers for your card once you will have installed Sabayon, otherwise you will use only VESA drivers :)
