Hello there,

I am trying to install Sabayon 7.0 Gnome x86-64, on the following machine, but system freezes when it loads X. The Blue Sabayon background doesn't appear but I only see a black background and mouse stops moving.

On the machine following, I have another problem. After successfully installing, I cannot log from the logging screen. I write my username and password, but then nothing happens no matter how many times I press enter or the button sign-in. To enter I had to press (CTRL+F1), login, then kill gdm and do:
Code: Select all
$ echo "exec gnome-session" > ~/.xinitrc
$ startx

But, the network manager does not connect to my network. I had to run as root:
Code: Select all
# nm-connection-editor

set and save my wifi ssid, and then after it got connected I was able to
Code: Select all
$ equo update
$ equo upgrade

The ($ lspci) for this machine follows. Please let me know what else you need to resolve this.

After the first update the problem with network has been fixed. The problem that remains is that I cannot login from the GDM. I have to press the cancel button instead of the sign-in button and then instead of choosing my username I have to choose: not listed, and then enter my username and password. Then I can login works.

I searched for a Bug related to the issue. I am having the same one :cry: But we are all in this together.
I also recently install Sabayon 7 x86_64 onto an intel laptop with nvidia gpu. And my login issue is the same. I found a different fix for the network issue but I will ignore that since we both resolved it.

As stated, the "Sign in" button does not accept either "Enter" keyboard or a *click* from the mouse until the user cancels and retypes username and password manually.
I have set my user to auto login but this isn't permanent. Filing a bug report now.
