It's definitely not due to that. I GB of RAM is fine for a graphical installation.

I think the best you can do now is to file a bug report (see the link 'Bugs' at top of this page) with as much information as you can, so that the developers can investigate. Although you can't get to a Desktop, can you get to a VT (virtual terminal) by pressing Ctrl-Alt-F1 (or F2, or F3 up to F6)? If you can, log in as root user and save the files /var/log/messages and /var/log/Xorg.0.log to a pen drive, along with the files lsmod.txt and lspci.txt which you can create using the commands lsmod > lsmod.txt and lspci > lspci.txt. Then you can attach those files to your bug report to help the developers diagnose the problem.

Never used it myself, but it's in the Entropy repository according to the on-line package search page (Packages) so I suppose so. But SL has its own pastebin (https://pastebin.sabayon.org/) and paste tool (pastebunz), so I suppose the developers would prefer you to use those.

Another couple of kernel boot parameters to try with the LiveCD/DVD:

Code: Select all
nouveau.blacklist=1

and

Code: Select all
nomodeset

Try each in turn to see if they have any effect.

I've just had a look at your bug report and I see that lxnay, the SL developer, has rejected it because he does not want pastebin to be used for bug reports. I suppose he is looking for the files to be uploaded to the SL Bugzilla and appended to the report, or, if it is not long, for the text of the log output to be pasted directly into a comment in the bug report. If you can still be bothered to do it after the brush-off, you might want to try filing a new bug report if neither of the above kernel boot parameters help.

maybe I will but for now No saboyon for me.
If people are treated this way then this is not a community for me.
And this problem is there for a long time and still no solution.

Roelof

Edit : I have filed in a new bug report with the old logs but now mostly as attactments.
See bug 2722
