Saboyon6 does not recognize dell usb keyboard [Solved]

Postby Kolse » Sat Aug 13, 2011 0:50

Hello.
The Sabayon 6 x64 live dvd for kde does not recognize my dell usb keyboard.
It only recognizes my keyboard on the main menu of the live dvd where it asks what boot option I would prefer.
Once I get past the main menu my keyboard does not respond, leaving me unable to install the OS.
I have searched the forums and even googled the problem but I have yet to find a solution.
I have even changed my bios settings for usb devices, but whatever setting I change does not help the problem.
I am guessing there may be a boot parameter that I can add or change on the main menu of the live dvd.
Sorry if it's a simple solution to a simple problem. Thanks in advance for the help.

Edit:
I realized once on the sabayon kde live desktop, that I can navigate with my mouse.
I went to system settings > input devices > keyboard
And so I changed my keyboard settings from there with my working mouse. Now I can install Sabayon 6 on my system.
Sorry for the now orphaned post.
