5.2 LiveCD freezes on kernel initialization but not 5.1-r1 ?

I have tried to install Sabayon 5.2 Gnome x86 on my Dell 540s desktop. It freezes at the kernel initialization part shortly after selecting which Sabayon variant you want.

Strangely the same DVD works fine on a Dell laptop. MD5sum checks out.

Sabayon KDE 5.2 DVD also freezes on the 540s at the same spot ...

What's different about the Dell 540s to cause the LiveCD to freeze? Any fixes?

5.1 r1 Live CD works AOK on the Dell 540s ... but not 5.2 disk

Don't have your hardware, so I'm not sure, but you could try xdriver=radeon or xdriver=radeonhd to see what happens.

I have the same problem. But the

didn't work for me; I tried

disablemodules=iTCO_wdt

I saw in a post of a similar problem, but it didn't work either.

My machine is an Athlon 64 with the same video board as lswalker (ATI Radeon HD 4350).

Any idea?
