Install Sabayon Linux on Intel MacOS X via Parallels

I am looking for help, as I am a newbie on Linux --> just joined this forum.

I have a recent MacbookPro (OSX Leopard 10.5) with Paralles 4.0, on which I want to install a virtual instance of Sabayon Linux.

I read that Sabayon is based on Gentoo, but I don't see Gentoo as one of the options in Parallels Linux Versions selects.

On selecting 'Other Linux', Parallels starts loading from disc, but the screen does not get past 'Initializing' with the Sabayon Logo.

I will try with other Linux options in Parallels - and follow up here.
