After I ran 'emerge --sync' these were the last lines of info on the screen as a result from the command which had just run:
** Skipping packages. Run 'fixpackages' or set it in FEATURES to fix the
tbz2's in the packages directory. Note: This can take a very long time.

So I ran 'emerge portage' That worked fine, but it leaves me puzzled with the following message:
>>> No outdated packages were found on your system.
* GNU info directory index is up-to-date.
* IMPORTANT: 2 config files in '/etc' need updating.
* Type emerge --help config to learn how to update config files.

Usage:
Question: which config files should be updated ?
Question2: should I still run 'fixpackages' ?
