cannot start X11 on Sony VAIO VPCSB

Dear all,
I bought this new Sony Vaio S series laptop VPCSB11FX. It has a dual graphics
card, the integrated intel and the AMD Radeon HD 6470M.

When I boot from the SabayonAMD64 Gnome 11 , the X11 does not load up.

I had the same problem with Sabayon in the past. Do you support ATI Radeon HD 6470 and hybrid graphics? I know traditionally Sabayon provides better support for Nvidia cards. Hybrid graphics is a second level of issues with most linux distributions. I was hoping that you guys could provide some hacks even for ATI cards with hybrid graphics. Are you interested in guiding me to help you resolve this so that Sabayon can run safely on such laptops?

First, to make X run at least with Intel GraCard, I would switch off Ati GraCard in Bios and boot then only with Intel.
Let's see, what will happen then.
If it works, you may install SL on your hdd it with that (switch-off) configuration.
If you can boot then from hdd, then renew (update) your repo (I assume Weekly).
Search in Rigo then, which Radeon drivers exist. Maybe you can compare while searching in Google, which Radeon driver might be the most suitable one for you.
When found, you should install the matching one to your Kernel number, maybe other, depending modules.
After this install procedure, shutdown, switch Radeon GraCard on in your Bios and reboot.
Let's see what will happen. That is the way I'd try to solve my problem...
