Urban Terror - install and play

Postby Zinden » Sun Aug 12, 2007 5:49

Go to Urban Terror and download ioUrbanTerror zip file and Urban Terrror_full zip file.

Biggest file you download, should unpack in urt folder that you created in homefolder. Now you should have a folder called q3ut4 inside urt folder. The little file you downloaded, should unpack into q3ut4 folder.
Then go into folder called Linux in q3ut4, copy battlEye folder and ioUrbanTerror.i386 file and put them in urt folder.

Now you should have it like this:
in urt folder, there is 1 file and 2 folders. These:
File = ioUrbanTerror.i386
Folders = BattlEye & q3ut4

Start Console and write:
Code: Select all
cd urt

then write:
Code: Select all
chmod +x ioUrbanTerror.i386

Start the game with:
Code: Select all
./ioUrbanTerror.i386

All done.

I simply emerged quake3-urbanterror but although it's on my games menu I can't run it. I just click it and nothing happens.
When I ended emerging UT it said that my user should be on the 'games' group, but there's not such group on my computer.

What shall I do?

Thanks.
