I'm noob, I can't start cdemu, I need help.
I do:
1. equo install cdemu
2. I compiled and installed kcdemu
3. rc-update add cdemud default
4. reboot

cdemu is not starting :(
Manual start:
Code: Select all
# cdemud
Starting daemon in local mode with following parameters:
 - num devices: 1
 - ctl device: /dev/vhba_ctl
 - audio driver: null
 - bus type: system
cdemud: Daemon: failed to open control device /dev/vhba_ctl!
Daemon initialization failed: Failed to open control device.

I'm stucked.
Edit: I try to install vhba module.
#equo install vhba
Not helped.

This program working great! Maybe you know what mistake I did, so I could try to run cdemu? I'm curious why, he is not working.

To my post earlier:
Code: Select all
# cdemud --daemonize --num-devices=1
Daemon successfully started.

So manual start is working.

his is an option in the mount command...

You can use it like that (and you need to open a console before ) My Local Cause
su (you need root rights do use the mount command)
mount -t iso9660 -o loop name_of_the_file.iso where_you_want_to_mount_it
You can add some options if you want, but this shall be enough.

There is now a wiki HOWTO for cdemu.
In the time of the making of the HOWTO the cdemu was version 1.3.0
