WoW Audio in Wine (latest update issues)

Ok so I've been running World of Warcraft in Wine on Sabayon for some time now. Just got a set of updates installed today using Rigo (default repos) and now my audio in WoW is very choppy where as before it was clear as a bell. Any thoughts as to why this may be happening? Or anything further I can provide to clarify?
