DirectX problem...

Postby dany15gni » Thu Nov 04, 2010 16:19

Hi all!

I have a new big problem...
(I've Sabayon 5.4 with 4.5 Kde)

I've installed a demo game (Football Manager 2011) with Wine.
The installation was successful, but wine doesnt install the directx...
Than i've install the directx (following a guide found on the net), exactly the 2007 relase of directx 9.0.
Afther this, when i try to run Fm2011, I've a wine error, that isn't able to run the "application"...
If i try to still run Fm2011.exe, i've a new message on the screen, like: "Error:Fm2011 Demo is already running" :?

How can i fix it, and play the demo?

Thankssssssssssssssssssss

Try both approaches given in the post Re: 32 bit Wine on 64 bit Sabayon.

If neither of those work then, if you're using the 64-bit version of SL, try installing the 32-bit version of Wine as explained in the rest of that thread, and then repeat the two approaches to see if one works. If still neither approach works then it may be that there is no solution under Linux... unless someone has actually succeeded with this specific Windows program and posts here.
