Heroes of Newerth crashes

I have been trying to get Heroes of Newerth to work on Sabayon 5.o. But when the game starts to load, it crashes. the same thing happens to Savage 2. I have an intel g45 onboard graphics card and I have an intel centrino duel core 2.0 ghz processor. Is there anything I can do like change the permissions or have them run as root?
