How to install Nestopia NES emulator

Postby WildSioux » Tue Feb 10, 2009 19:55

Hi,

I have been trying to figure out how to install nestopia on sabayon. Why do I want nestopia? I use it in XP and none of the others for linux work. The only one that does is fakenes and it is too slow. I did try mednafen and fceu. Mednafen worked but I couldn't figure out how to make it full screen and I didn't even try with a gamepad. Fceu didn't even work. I am looking for one with a GUI.

I found a nestopia ebuild but I am positive I was not doing this right.

I am new to gentoo but I did try ebuild and then emerge. The ebuild seemed to work. But when I did the emerge nestopia, it came back with some error that a nestopia.ebuild was not found. I believe it isn't in the right directory or something like that.

Any help please, Thank you!

Hmm, I'll have to look at that link again wolfden. I tried those, but its not working. I'm wondering why this isn't in portage or Spritz?
