Freespace 2 Nosound --- boring :(

hi to all I have downloaded freespace 2 with the java downloader but i can't ear sound.....

when i start fs2 i've got this error:

there is a solution for that? i think that the OSS driver are not installed on sabayon 3.5... there is a way to install them?

/dev/dsp should be your sound card, if the program is looking for something else I'd put a symlink where it thinks /dev/dsp is so that it becomes happy.

i've tried with openal to change the sound card input output and now the sound works fine but i see strange colors... like negative colors in the game... uff is a very beatiful game i would like to play very well but i can't -.-

try compiling with the game with the alsa USE flag instead of the OSS?

i've used the java installer instead of emerge download... beacause i have not the cd... i will try with the isos! thnx!
