THE MAGICAL BLINKING GAMES! (help please)

okay, i've searched everywhere on just about every distro's forums and i cannot find anything to tell me how to temporarily disable compiz... is there a way to disable compiz fusion so that i can run my games? (gotta have my nexuiz and Sauerbraten, etc.) please help.. i like compiz, but it makes all my games blink like crazy, and Nexuiz even crashes my PC.. any notes on how to fix? (i'm running AIGLX and compiz) (compiz icon when i quit, the icon disapears, but the cube and all the plugins keep going)


okay, well, i think i screwed something up in Compiz, so... if there's any way of just giong back to the default, PLEASE let me know... i need my games back and really don't feel like setting up this OS AGAIN! (would be like 5th or 6th reinstall)
