It seems I can download text with full speed, but pictures come @~700kbps.Pinging my gateway says there is no lag (5ms), but at the same time either my default gateway or the next node after the gateway HANGS when doing traceroute (both nodes are owned by the ISP).
The problems I'm having are very bad http responsetimes and even worse picture downloading times, which naturally is the cause of the bad responsetimes. Since my responsetime to ISP gateway is very good, is it reasonable to say the problem is my ISP?
In last few weeks, I've been gearing up and there is no "bad" or "old" gear in my apartment. I'm 100% sure the problem no longer is at my end, but paying 8 full months for this shit is starting to piss me off.
Is there any way to tell, at which point my connection speed drops near zero? Tracing the route only tells me how fast the connection is established between the nodes, but not the SPEED between the nodes. Is there software capable of sniffing such thing out..?
