Nice share but this is what I think about firefox4:

1) All of the major extensions that I've used in the past work with firefox4...no-script, stylish, firebug, foxy-proxy, etc.

2) Well, I've been using an email client so I can't confirm this issue with Gmail.

3) I really think it is more convenient for me in firefox4 than in the older version as the "open in a new tab" option has been set as first selection similar to chromium, saves some time & also everything is customisable.

4) I personally use Lastpass addon, but Firefox Sync options is quite a cool feature...& I think it's better to have an option to synchronise than no option at all.

5) No comment, it's not like firefox never crashed in the older version.

6) No comment, seems to complex to understand xD

7) May be it does have a bigger memory foot print compared to the older version (In my case I didn't notice any difference), but then again we have to see that it has more features & capabilities (support for html5), etc.

\8) Seems like unix-men crossed out this point :o

9) Who views pdf files in browser (especially if you have a slower connection)? Definitely not me!

10) Ya this issue occured to me once, but is quite rare.

In my opinion firefox-4.0 has taken a big leap from 3.x.x and it is quite natural for it to be some what buggy (frankly it's not really that buggy)...but with time I'm sure it will only get better.

I'm a Beta Tester of Mozilla Foundation. Actually, many complements, add-ons working in Firefox 4.
also, firefox 4 is faster than their previous versions, and for me is much better.
Now i use the 4 version by default, under Linux or under windows server, il all my distros, 32 or 64 Bits.
presently, i also begin the tests with the Experimental, future, version 6, American English.

i've found myself increasingly going back to Firefox since FF4 was released. I still use Epiphany as my primary browser on my main laptop, but elsewhere am reaching for Firefox a lot more than I used to.

To address some of the articles points...

1. I'm not using any extensions (obviously - I haven't been using Firefox) so this isn't an issue for me.

2. For me, GMail is a lot more responsive in FF4 than it was in earlier versions. This is also true for any AJAXy sites I visit.

3. The grouping tabs feature is something I may look into if I do switch to using all Firefox, all of the time. But for now, I haven't really looked at it.

4. Firefox synch is something that I have avoided using so far. I don't have anything against it but I tend to use different devices differently, so importing all of the bookmarks from one to another is just more clutter.

5. Firefox 4 hasn't crashed on me yet.

6. The Switch To Tab feature sounds a bit messy, as described. But I'm not using it.

7. I used to suffer horrendous memory issues with Firefox 3.x - this is what led me to look for alternatives in the first place. Firefox 4 behaves much, much better on this count.

8. Ten reasons, nine reasons, what's the difference ;)

9. I've not encountered any problems with PDF documents.

10. I have customised my toolbar - I need the RSS button, among other things - but this was completely problem free for me.

Having gon through the writer's points, a lot of them seem to amount to: "It's different!" I'm not convinced that this is really much of an argument.

Great Feedback!!
I for another have moved up to FF4 and I am very satisfied. I might add that I am a Google app user.. Gmail, Contacts, Calendar and only have some occasional lags in the Calendar reminders as they load.
I use FF3.6 in Slackware and Debian but FF4 elsewhere. You will note in my first post I had no opinions. I really wanted to see where others lined up on this opinion/article.
FF4 is definitely a leap forward IMHO.
