it's not installed. Just use portage to get it:
Code: Select all
emerge -s coldwar

to search it into portage applications database.

Thanks lxnay.

Tried portage and I get this;

Calculating dependencies... done!

>>> Emerging (1 of 1) games-strategy/coldwar-demo-1 to /

!!! games-strategy/coldwar-demo-1 has fetch restriction turned on.
!!! This probably means that this ebuild's files must be downloaded
!!! manually. See the comments in the ebuild for more information.

* Please download coldwar_demo.run into /usr/portage/distfiles
* using http://www.mindwarestudios.com/download ... mo.torrent

Can I get this from the live dvd?

yes, put the DVD in, mount it and then copy coldwar.iso somewhere, then:
Code: Select all
mount -o loop /path/to/coldwar.iso /mnt/temp
mkdir /usr/share/games/ColdWar
cp /mnt/temp/* /usr/share/games/ColdWar/ -Rp
umount /mnt/temp

then, just run (IIRC) /usr/share/games/ColdWar/coldwar-demo

You can boot into the game with the DVD.

Hit F2 and F3 after booting from the DVD and it gives you the startup options,
one of them is "Coldwar" I think.
