I stuck with Sabayon cause of:
1. Great hardware support for my laptop
2. I didn't have to fiddle with too many things after I installed it
Others I have tried lately
*Linux Mint works really well but seems to corrupt itself a few weeks are install.
*ZenWalk's package manager needs a bit more work in the dependancy checking department, also i was having trouble getting acpi and a few other things to work properly.
*Arch Linux, very fast (booting and running) but it started you off from scratch... it's perfect for a desktop user but it's a real headache for anyone with laptop hardware.
