Should we jump on Smolt bandwagon?

Postby voxiac » Sat Aug 18, 2007 14:02

Ok some references first:
http://www.phoronix.com/?page=news_item&px=NTg5Ng

BTW my smolt profile looks like this:
http://smolt.fedoraproject.org/show?UUI ... c1b31d4740
Devs and hardware support people please look there and see whether that information could be sufficient to be given with a support request for example.

Note: It states Gentoo Linux as the OS, but only because I made it to detect that (some hacking in config.py file involved), and Sabayon Linux version could be detected just as easily I think.

Oh and as I understand this'll give a pretty good idea of how many Sabayon users are there :).

2010 What is the Situation with Smolt?
It is a nice tool to automatically know your hardware, I use it on OpenSuse.
