make sabayon more modular os

I was think of making sabayon more modular to speed up development, bug fixes, and updates. This will make it more easier then before to make spinoffs like the cd edition.

I think sabayon is to big to go any other way then a modular file system os. Slax 6 rc 6 uses squashfs+lzma and aufs. Aufs is used as a replace mean to Unionfs. Its a lot more stable. Squashfs+lzma is squashfs with 30% more compression. That adds another cd to your dvd.

I hope this will help you guys in the development of sabayon 3.5.

ps With slax 6rc6 you can add modules on the fly and also remove modules not in being used on the fly.

im sorry, i will be honest, i dont know what it is your are talking about. but i would like to learn.

explain to me this, modular. how would it make things faster and easier? it sounds like a good thing. sorry, im very knew to the development side of Linux. i don't use it much more than for work, and some play. it seems to do everything i need it to do and more. but how much more is it capable of doing?
