Yes, maybe call it 3D Desktop & Managers or something

Networking is another big one Networking and Wireless is good name

We already have a gaming area and graphics and howto area for eduacation

Science & Engineering <-- not enough interest

Installation would be good area, tons of those scattered every where

Portage <-- to include package managers, software, bugs

I came up with that, I suppose that would have to be done for each language. Than we can get rid of the subforum thing. This would be a major overall to the forums, but I think it is needed as we grow. One forum to cover so many topics just gets overwhelmed and harder to search.

Howto should be phased out to strictly wiki stuff
New Releases could just become the News section

We need a 'Newbie' section for people new to Sabayon AND Linux in general. It has been argued that Sabayon is not suitable for Linux newbies but I disagree.
By having a dedicated newbies section it would allow the 'stupid' questions to be grouped together. It might also encourage other experienced users to ask the questions they are embarrased to ask.

I also think the moderators should get tough on postings with "help" and "I have a problem" subjects. More specific subject descriptions help everyone.

Looks fine to me. Are you are saying that the HowTo section should be phased out and all the stuff not already in the Wiki moved there? If you are, I agree. The way it is at the moment, we have to search in two places to see if there is a HowTo.

yup, it's redundant otherwise - and the wiki can be easily updated for changes
