theme sucks

Pleeeeease get rid of the black and red design it is awful and almost unreadable in some light conditions. The first thing I did when I installed 3.3 is to restore the magnificent flower wallpaper that you ditched (why must people change things for the sake of it??) but that doesn't help with the dreadful colour scheme on the website - get rid of it asap!!

actually the flower designs were the most hideous and abstract thing i've ever seen. the new scheme is better. just for the fact someone suggested we should have a glassier and well lit scheme makes me think that they want us to look like vista? egh.

The filter corrects the colors delivered from a web-page as needed:

It also works for anomalous forms of color blindness.

Thanks for the idea. I tried them, and can now barely make out that Jozef's sig says he's an "Oz Developer | Oz User". That's an improvement. (Anomalous Protan does the best job for me).

But too many of the thin dark-red lines are still invisible (the filter seems to boost red levels some, rather than change to an alternate color). And the filter site takes 20-30 seconds to return the pages using your links above at this moment.

Much better for me (than the filter) is Vagabond's technique. Thanks, Vagabond! It is slightly unpleasant to have to "click and drag" my Firefox menu options, but I'll live with it if I have to.

I have to admit I thought the flower theme was appauling. I much prefer the theme in 3.3. That said To offer a choice of more themes would not be a bad thing. On the website although I prefer this theme maybe it is a little difficult for some people to read. Perhaps the website should be given an easier to read theme?

vista looks pretty good.

I hate to agree but Vista does look pretty good. Or at least when its graphics card drivers are working it looks very good. We are in the unusual situation where graphics cards are better supported under Linux than Vista.

in my opinion, a very good looking distro is the newly released Ubuntustudio, a great black theme.
