What about porting YaST2?

Just a half-idea that crossed my mind a while ago...
Could it be possible to port YaST2 to SabayonLinux, at least SaX2 and the networking modules? I have no idea how tightly is it integrated with SuSE but I know all the modules are more or less independent from each other.

That doesn't mean I havn't used it, but i did and despised myself.

Sorry for the 1000001st time... As soon as I learn some Qt I would like to (try to) contribute somehow.

And I really like SuSE. I use Sabayon on my main desktop and laptop because I want total control and I love the gentoo foundation but to someone that wants some things to just work and doesn't care about eye candy I would still consider recommending SuSE.

i wouldn't, yum never worked for me and installing software was a pain beyond pain

I don't know anyone who really uses YUM on SuSE. On SuSE the way to go is smart on 10.1 or 10.2 or YaST2 on 10.2. And you have to admit that waiting for wine or KDE to compile on Sabayon isn't really a pleasurable experience either.
