Would be nice to have the ability to choose what packages (especially apps) to include during install from a ticcable list.

due to the fact that emerge has to sync it's list and overlays after the install (nothing to sync to during or before),packages that were not on the disk cannot be installed with the sabayon dvd or cd.
it IS possible to slap together a script(call it, um, extras.sh ).
extra's.sh would be included on another dvd with a set of ebuilds.
the script could check whether the progams on it's disk are already installed(note: this could be used to simplify upgrades),and install the ones that the user wants.

and for f#%&$ sake, could I have back the xscreensaver where I
could CHOOSE the ones(MORE THAN ONE) i wanted to play,with options?

No, i meant choose from a list of those that are on the disc already, not the whole portage tree.

I want this mainly because the DVD has too many apps on it, as i said, several IRC, IM clients.
The internet menu in the k menu is HUGE.
I don't need all that, but the cd on the other hand is too small, so something to just prevent certain apps from being included in the final system.
