[mockup] Rigo: icon, logo, layout

Hi all!

I'm working to an icon for the Rigo app browser for my desktop; the idea is something like this:



Colours do not match with the original logo and there are a lot of stuff I'm working on...

I like that you're attempting to create a rigo icon, and I encourage you to continue your efforts.

In my opinion, that icon is too "busy". There's too much going on.

I fully agree with Stupot, if you are trying to "mockup" the Google logo, I suggest you to make the colour areas follow the r letter lines, otherwise the icon feels too busy.

You could use the same colour scheme as the Sabayon logo for the background colours to resemble it, adding it to the image makes it a bit hard to keep it clean.

Other than that, great idea and good job, I've been missing a rigo icon

Thanx! that icon was made to match with Faence icon set (I am using Gnome), but I'm working to an "elementary" icon, shades, shadows and a logo...I take advantage to work on the rigo icon to learn to work with inkscape better

Thanx to @micia too; I know that google's icon and I don't love it: it seems to be far away from google's minimalism (but I suppose it is "historical").

I'd suggest more vibrant colors. And it should follow the Rigo philosphy: less is more

For icons I've taken the colors (except black) from the logo in the "home page" of the rigo browser, but I will try others...I'm working to other mockups (the icon, the logo and the appearence of rigo too) looking for a KISS style: I will publish them here and sources in my deviantart page and in my site.

what about use an icon like this for packages without icon in rigo?



I think that sabayon tools need a new set of icons considering that i've seen that we use different version of the logo in different places.
