mysql hasnt worked in any distro i have tried which was the last rr4, 3.0-3.2. i get this error

Code: Select all
localhost automan # mysql
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)


i cant log into the bugtracker or i wouldve put this there.
