suggestion: light theme (or "not so dark")

I would like to suggest to include a brighter theme for grub and boot splash. I downloaded the bootsplash themes package, but the part between GRUB and the actual bootsplash defaults to (a dark) verbose mode, and that can only be changed by editing the initramfs? Is that correct? So, that's why my suggestion. :)

I agree with your suggestion. I know that all the themes can be changed quite easily, but I personally think that the theming of Sabayon is too dark for its vivacity. The theming around Sabayon 3.5 was my favorite of all the releases. It was light, beautiful and unique. It was more... Sabayon :D !

Sorry, No more 3.5 Bluey yuckyness. It should get a bit lighter however with 5.2, I think the 5.0 was a bit dark too tbh :D

Dark, or not---yet excellent. In short: Sabayon's look and style have no rivals among Linux distributions. This applies to GNOME, KDE, Fluxbox, as well as to the login manager.

I like the dark 5.0 and 5.1 theme very much, and the various magazine and blog reviews seem to have given the thumbs up to it, too. It's distinctive, and I find dark themes more soothing on the eyes.

this is a personal preference. Dark or black themes are now common in linux and mac....
personally, the sabayon themes, are for me, all good, better than in other distros, but i enjoy also the antique blue thtme and even more the red themes,of the older sabayons.
but the themes in sabayon are changeable...
