I'm getting spammed over PM, under two different names, and very similar message.. Anyone else getting this?

hey how about we stop the other kind of spam and have a way of making a way of showing people what topics are already about something before they post repititious threads...

A webhost I use has a bug report page where as you type it searches through their FAQ and puts links to related topics before you post. Must be possible with a phpbb mod.

I really think the Resources and Forum Useage post should be a global announcement/sticky. I recall phpBB to have a function like this. Add also README BEFORE POSTING or something similar to the title. Also clean and block this announcement from comments would be appropriate.

This is why I do not like phpbb - it's always vulnerable and hacked. For features you have to find a mod and than install that mod.

I agree tho - it should be a global thing as people are still not seeing it.

PM Spam and forum spam is an issue, Captchas are a possible resolution as are other mechanisms.
