i686 & AMD Athlon XP in Sabayon 3.4e

I like very much Sabayon but, having tried and failed to change the CFLAGS after hours of compilation, I'm a bit sad and disappointed about that !
Frankly speaking, it should be easy to get an optimized system, unfortunately it is not yet the case.
I followed the tutorial I found in the forum that worked well with the previous Sabayon ver., with the 3.4e, no way !
Therefore, my suggestion is : why not to offer an Intel + AMD optimized version ?
